MCRA 2010 CONVENTION
The MCRA 2010 Convention will be held at the Wisp Resort at Deep Creek Lake in McHenry, Maryland on October 2, 2010 and October 3, 2010. We are very fortunate to have as our NCRA representative the 2010 President of NCRA, Melanie Humphrey-Sonntag.
On Friday, October 1st, 2010 we are scheduling some preconvention events. There will be lunch at 11:15 followed by a golf tournament at 12:30. Vendor tables are available from 3:00 to 7:00. In the evening, we will have a Welcome Reception at Wispers Mountainside Bar from 7:30 to 9:30. Each registrant will receive 2 drink tickets.
On Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 the MCRA Convention officially starts. Melanie will kick off our seminars with "Marketing Court Reporter Value". There will be seminars all day with a luncheon and business meeting. Vendor tables are available all day. In the evening, we will have a bonfire.
On Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 we will have seminars until around lunchtime. The silent auction will close at the end of the morning break.
There is plenty to do at the Wisp Resort. There are hiking and biking trails on the property. There are State Parks nearby with nice trails. Swallow Falls has a lovely waterfall area. Ride the Mountain Coaster. Take a scenic chairlift ride to the Pumphouse Café and watch the Adventure Sports Center’s Recirculating Whitewater Course while enjoying lunch. Stop by the Lodge for one of Starbucks’ famous blends or a latte, cappuccino, espresso, assorted Danishes, and other goodies. In the evening, relax over a cocktail and dinner at DC’s Bar and Restaurant. There is a swimming pool, fitness center, racquetball, and golf course. For a little pampering, visit Sewickley Spa.
