Part-time and full-time Real-Time Captioners are being sought for our Vienna, VA production facilities.  Real-time Captioners create closed captions of live TV broadcast such as national news programs, specials, and sporting events, for the benefit of the deaf and hard-of-hearing.  Requirements include A.A. or B.S. degree in Court and Conference Reporting or satisfactory completion of other 2-year equivalent programs. Applicants must possess a high degree of proficiency in machine shorthand skills, excellent English grammar, comprehension, and spelling skills.  Applicants must be able to perform under pressure with changing priorities, and to work different shifts, including holidays and weekends.
